Just after a couple of minutes cycling through the dim-lit neighbourhood outside of the old town, I entered a road running straight to An Bang beach at the far end. All around there were only vast dark fields and ponds, leaving the long road the only glowing thing except the moon. Through leaves and trunks, I saw the moon chasing behind, throwing her faint light ahead trying to catch hold of the only cyclist on the way. At a point where the road nearly met the river, suddenly seeing her twin brother flickering on the water surface, I pulled over to a halt, and there they stood looking straight at me with their brilliant smiles.
Even for those who don’t know, only a quick glance will tell you what is the state religion in Brunei. It is easy to see how monumental, yet subtle, Islamic architecture is dominating Bandar Seri Begawan. Each structure is so grand one visit is never enough, so during my 5 days staying here, I took my time to re-visit the mosques as much as possible. While you let me accompany you through this trip, I’ll tell you why.

I even thought about giving up on this project when there’s only one week before the deadline and I was still on my trip. But then I said to myself “This will be the first proper thing I can do for the nature. If I don’t do it now, I will definitely regret later.” Then one week it was, to complete the whole work. Mỹ thuật Bụi has convinced me that everyone can draw and that art has no limitation.
The piece is currently exhibited at 29 Hang Bai, Hanoi, from 16-22/3/2019.

We are a historical city with many museums and monuments and old ruins, where culture and cuisine are mixed, where people from all over the country, all around the world gather, where olds lurk amongst news and traditions go well with innovation. Though small in both size and population, Brunei is famous for its diverse ecosystem, many kinds of spices and herbs, and majestic Islamic architecture. Being an Islamic country, Brunei follows different rules and schedules that you might want to take a look before departing.
1. No alcohol sold in the country – No night-life:
If you are dreaming about a summer party on the beach with cold beer and bikinis, then Brunei is not the place. The sale of alcohol is prohibited here, so instead you can take your time to explore the wide variety of soft drink that they offer. Although non-Muslim of age over 17 may bring into the country two bottles of liquor/wine, or 12 cans of beer, if you decide to do so, just be sure not to do anything disrespectful to everyone else.
Unlike in other European countries, the information accessibility in Russia is quite limited, I recommend you to do a little research before going. Here I will share with you what I have noticed after my own trips in Sep. 2016 (to the Far East) and in Oct. 2016 (to St. Petersburg and Moscow). Hope it will help a bit.
Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan is one of the few airports which offers the full accommodations for free for travelers who need a layover at the airport. As many airlines are providing cheap flights to/from Taipei at nighttime (like arrival at midnight or departure at 3am), these accommodations are very helpful, especially for budget travelers.
