Even for those who don’t know, only a quick glance will tell you what is the state religion in Brunei. It is easy to see how monumental, yet subtle, Islamic architecture is dominating Bandar Seri Begawan. Each structure is so grand one visit is never enough, so during my 5 days staying here, I took my time to re-visit the mosques as much as possible. Brunei – before going

Though small in both size and population, Brunei is famous for its diverse ecosystem, many kinds of spices and herbs, and majestic Islamic architecture. Being an Islamic country, Brunei follows different rules and schedules that you might want to take a look before departing.

1. No alcohol sold in the country – No night-life:

If you are dreaming about a summer party on the beach with cold beer and bikinis, then Brunei is not the place. The sale of alcohol is prohibited here, so instead you can take your time to explore the wide variety of soft drink that they offer. Although non-Muslim of age over 17 may bring into the country two bottles of liquor/wine, or 12 cans of beer, if you decide to do so, just be sure not to do anything disrespectful to everyone else.
